Where the Atlantic becomes your living room.
Perched directly on the Atlantic coast, Casa do Mar is a four-bedroom villa that earns its name every single morning. Step off the stone terrace and your feet are in the sand. The horizon is uninterrupted. The sound of waves is the only alarm clock you'll need.
The house itself is a masterwork of Portuguese coastal architecture — whitewashed walls, terracotta floors, hand-painted azulejo tiles, and windows that frame the ocean like paintings. The living areas are spacious and open, designed to blur the boundary between inside and out. A covered terrace wraps the seaward side of the house, furnished with deep sofas, a dining table for eight, and a hammock that sees more sunsets than we can count.
The kitchen is fully equipped and professionally outfitted — gas range, espresso machine, wine fridge stocked on arrival. The master suite occupies the entire top floor, with a private balcony, a freestanding bath positioned to face the sea, and a walk-in wardrobe. Three additional bedrooms sit below, each with access to the garden or terrace.
This is the kind of place where you arrive planning a week and start looking into a month. We say this as a caution and a promise.
